Chocolate Chip Cookies

SONY DSCIt happened again, I fully intended on working all day, having my eBay store loaded up with new items, all my new items photo’d and then….I went into the kitchen to make just one thing….It’s now 3:40 pm. But I sure had fun:-) I did actually photo some items and list a couple new so to ease my guilty conscience on the work side of things, that was enough, right?

My kids have been begging for my chocolate chip cookies. They always rave how my chocolate chip cookies are the best in the world (hey, they finally like something I make, I’ll take it!) However, the recipe really isn’t mine, it actually belongs to Nestle Toll House, the secret is out;-) It’s one of those few recipes I’ve found that just works so good the way it is that there is no need to tweak, or should I say as I’ve learned they do in the food blogging world “adapt”. I love this recipe and love Nestle Toll House for it, I’ve been making it for years:-) Here is the recipe link:http://www.verybestbaking.com/recipes/18476/Original-NESTL%C3%89-TOLL-HOUSE-Chocolate-Chip-Cookies/detail.aspx

The only thing I do different is along with the tsp of baking soda, I also add 1/2 a tsp of baking powder. That’s it, it’s all Nestle Toll House. Some day I may venture off and try “my own” recipe for chocolate chip cookies but I doubt that, I do enough of my own concocting:-) After a dreary Monday and the beginning of a week of school testing, my kids were thrilled to come home to these, fresh out of the oven!
