My son is the king of smoothies! He loves making them and it’s a great way for me to get nutrition into him as he has always been a very very very picky eater and at 13, it’s getting better, but not great! He has my sweet tooth unfortunately, however I eat balanced meals and love fruit and vegetables where him, not so much:-) After school today he made these great chocolate cherry smoothies. I had the chocolate protein idea and he went for it when I told him my protein powder was an adult form of Carnation instant breakfast:-) He either believed me or just shrugged me off and went with it because it was chocolate, either way, we all loved these smoothies! He loves making things and spending time in the kitchen, he’s my little chef in the making! And my husband recently bought me a new blender that can be used for everything and I am in love and obsessed with it!
Ingredient:
1 bag frozen cherries, partially thawed
1 cup of milk
1 scoop of chocolate protein powder ( I used EAS Soy protein)
1 cup vanilla yogurt
Half a blender of Ice
Fill blender half full of ice. Add all the ingredients and blend until you get a smooth, chunk free consistency! And then, enjoy!
That looks delicious! The color is really appealing. 🙂
Thank you, weren’t they pretty?!
Yes!!! 🙂
Love it. My son (he’s 15) loves smoothies as breakfast before school. He loves to add greek yogurt to it… I noticed you added vanilla yogurt! Yum.
Awesome! Smoothies are so good!
I can not wait to try this. My kids and I absolutely love smoothies especially green ones.
Smoothies are sooooo yummy!! I hope you like this one when you try it!
Cherry and chocolate are a great combination! I’m pretty sure that some form of smoothie was my breakfast each morning throughout high school. 🙂
I agree, chocolate and cherry is great together! I think my son is going to take to smoothies for breakfast, he doesn’t like to eat in the morning and smoothies he can deal with and loves!
