The other day I had a bunch of bananas that were too far gone to just eat, but perfect for baking with so I decided to make a batch of banana bread. However, of course I was craving chocolate as I always and forever am, so I decided to add chocolate chips to the mix and it came out super yummy:-)This is such a quick treat to whip up! Here’s my recipe:-)
Ingredients:
1 cup of sugar
1/2 cup of crisco shortening
2 eggs
4 bananas
2 cups of flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla
dash of salt
1 cup of chocolate chips
In a large mixing bowl mix with an electric mixer the sugar and crisco. Add the eggs, baking soda, salt and vanilla and beat until mixed well. Add the bananas and flour and beat again until creamy. Stir in the chocolate chips until mixed in well. Bake at 350 degrees for about an hour or until done.
It’s so yummy served warm, I even put a little butter on top and let it melt in before eating it, however it’s great even without the butter! Enjoy!

I’m glad you asked that! Yes! In fact I was just telling my husband we have to get back into our healthy eating styles. Several years back we both lost quite a bit of weight through exercise and eating healthy and I made some great dishes. I still exercise daily and manage to maintain most of my weight loss, but that is so important! I will work on that and post some and you are right, healthy dishes too can taste great! Thanks for the comment and visiting my blog!
You look like a gorgeous woman and a talented cook! Your husband is lucky to have you~ and all those lovely meals. I can’t wait to see more of your recipes. 🙂 and try out a few myself.
That is sweet, thank you! I appreciate you reading my blog, I will keep the posts coming:-) You’re blog is interesting as well, I look forward to keeping up with yours as well!
